The two-post lift permits the administrator to handily get to all pieces of the vehicle, including the wheel gatherings, though the four post lift requires a helper lift (at an additional an expense) that will raise the vehicle off the runways (to permit wheel service). A four post lift can be compact (generally accompany a free caster pack).
